In the daily use of the anti-static raised floor, regular cleaning is necessary to avoid the adverse effects due to the accumulation of dust. Effective cleaning can prevent dust from mixing into the equipment in the computer room. It can also increase the service life of the equipment. It can minimize the maintenance of the air conditioning unit in the computer room and replace the filter and reduce the operation cost. However, if the cleaning method of the anti-static raised floor is not correct, it will reduce the anti-static effect of the floor, which may even lead to the loss of the anti-static effect. Here are a few tips for cleaning the anti-static floor correctly.
1. Place a floor mat
Place a floor mat at the door of the computer room. When operators walk into the room, the floor mat can take away most of the dust and gravel on the shoes. Otherwise, the gravels can damage the floor. If conditions permit, operators can put on shoe covers before entering the computer room.
2. Use a vacuum cleaner
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust or other particles on the floor. Never use a dry mop. It will push dust into the opening of the perforated panel.
3. Avoid soaking the floor surface
When cleaning the raised floor, avoid soaking the floor surface. It is forbidden to use a dripping mop to clean the raised floor. We should prevent water flows into the lower part of the floor through the floor’s cracks, affecting the line.
4. Soak and clean with neutral detergent
When there are stains on the floor surface, soak and clean it with neutral detergent in time, and then wipe it with clean water. Do not use corrosive detergent with strong acid and alkali to scrub the floor.
5. Wax the raised floor
Generally, you can wax the raised floor every three to six months to effectively prevent the floor surface from being worn. In places with anti-static requirements, you must choose wax with anti-static performance.
