What is A Good Quality Raised Floor – Steel Part

What is a good quality raised floor. Many factors affect the quality of steel raised floor, here we learn something deeper about steel sheet.

Raised floor classification

Raised floors mainly have below categories according to production materials: steel raised floor, calcium sulfate panel, woodcore panel, aluminum raised floor, etc., while steel raised floor can be the most widely used. In China, steel raised floor manufacturers take more than 80% of all raised floor manufacturers. The main materials of the steel raised floor are steel and cement, and steel includes upper & bottom steel plates. The upper steel plate is SPCC cold rolled steel, the bottom steel plate is ST14 cold rolled steel.

Cold rolled steel characteristics

Cold-rolled steel sheet is made of ordinary carbon structural hot-rolled steel strip, and then cold-rolled into a steel sheet with a thickness of less than 4 mm. Because it is rolled at normal temperature, no scale occurs. Therefore, the surface quality of the cold-rolled plate is smooth, dimensional accuracy is high, annealing and processing are superior to the hot-rolled steel sheet.

Steel plate standard

Main size of exported steel raised floor size is 600 x 600 x 33 mm(33mm is the thickness). Load capacity standard follows CISCA standard, load capacity of a steel raised floor is mainly determined by thickness of steel plate. The relationship between steel thickness and load capacity is as below:

In addition to the thickness, the quality of steel plate also determines the load capacity. The quality of ST14 cold-rolled steel determines how deep it can be stretched, and the depth of backing ball determines the load capacity of a steel raised floor.

Titan steel raised floor must have a depth of 22mm, so physical structure of backing ball can be optimized to ensure that the load capacity is up to standard.

Importance of steel plate

However, the quality of cold-rolled steel sheets on the market is uneven, the same as prices. If depth of a low-quality ST14 steel is stretched high, steel plate will break directly. The stretch mold depth of most manufacturers is around 20mm. Manufacturers with lower depths will choose to produce 600×600×30mm steel raised floor. These floors are not able to meet the standard load capacity.

Besides load capacity, high-quality steel plate can also improve the flatness. The flatness of Titan raised floor must reach:
size error: ±1mm, diagonal error: ≤ 3mm; diagonal flatness: ≤ 0.5mm; straightness: ≤ 0.3mm.
